The goal of this project was to design a flexible and scalable system that created visually engaging Category Landing Pages for users while optimizing SEO impact for bots.
We created a design system to govern these pages aiming to allow flexible content displays for a variety of categories. Page elements needed to be stackable and interchangeable to maximize usability and the system relied on strong visual hierarchy to move users through content.
The ability to support multiple content types was imperative to these pages. I created the notion of "uber" widgets that could utilize engaging content alongside deal collections.
Upon implementation of these designs, bounce rate improved across all categories by 16% and average session length increased by 3%
